About Us
Stepaside Golf Course is a nine hole public golf course located on the Enniskerry Road in Kiltiernan, Co. Dublin. The course was designed by legendary course designer Eddie Hackett and was built and opened for business in the early 1980's. The course is owned by Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council and the Green-keeping Staff at Stepaside is from the Parks & Landscape Services Department of the Council. They are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the golf course.
The golf course is managed by Target Golf Management Ltd (Find Out More at www.targetgolf.ie) Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council awarded the management contract to Target Golf Management Ltd in March 2008 to manage and promote the facility, and to provide a professional expert service to the customers at Stepaside Golf Course on their behalf.
Target Golf Management Ltd has instigated many improvements since their takeover at Stepaside Golf Course. Implementation of a timesheet 7 days a week, vast improvements in cleanliness, organisation and customer service has greatly improved the atmosphere in the clubhouse.
A stringent recycling programme has also been put into operation since the company's takeover. There has been an 80% reduction in outgoing waste from the golf course since the beginning of this programme and Target Golf Management are fully aware of our social responsibility to tackle the waste issue.
Target Golf Management has also joined forces with The First Tee Ireland to sign up Stepaside Golf Course as a host venue for their innovative junior golf programmes. This is the first time an initiative like this has been introduced at Stepaside.
